Reinforcement Fiberglass at CAMX 2024
Johns Manville provides a wide range of fiberglass reinforcement solutions to improve the performance of thermoplastic and thermoset composites.
MultiStar® Multi-End Roving, available now also in North America, is crafted to enhance fiberglass distribution, wetting, and bonding and significantly reduce fuzz. This roving is optimized explicitly for various applications, including SMC Class A composite materials, the production of long-fiber reinforced PU panels, thermoset weaving applications, LFI (PU) headliner production, GMT, and spray-up processes.
StarRov® Single-End Roving is well-suited for various fabric processes, including LFT or D-LFT processes, UD tapes, pultrusion, weaving, and filament winding. It offers a range of benefits, such as exceptional mechanical properties, low VOC, excellent bundle opening, rapid impregnation, perfect wet-out, high dry strength, and minimal fuzz for an enhanced experience.
ThermoFlow® Chopped Strand is precisely engineered to excel in various applications and processes, notably in thermoplastic reinforcement. JM chopped strand is known for its excellent strand integrity, clean feeding, and consistent fiber distribution.

MultiStar® 272 is an assembled roving manufactured with continuous glass fibers of defined diameter into a cylindrical roving package compatible with unsaturated polyester. It offers best in class performances in terms of surface aspect (Top Class A) with outstanding strength performances, enabling SMC compounders and moulders to further compete effectively with other materials.
