More than 14,000 attendees and over 540 exhibitors — including JM — converged Feb. 4–6 at the International Roofing Expo (IRE) in Dallas.
The roofing industry’s largest annual show took over more than 170,000 square feet of the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center, and featured hundreds of new roofing products and innovations.
In addition to learning about the latest and greatest, attendees also had the opportunity to participate in a Community Service Day, various National Roofing Contractor Association events and networking meetings. JM sponsored The Roofing Institute, which offered educational sessions led by industry experts who specialize in marketing, talent recruitment, business profitability, management training and industry trends.
Just ahead of IRE, was the 3rd Annual National Women in Roofing (NWiR) Day on Feb. 2. More than 300 women in the roofing industry got together to connect, mentor and educate.
Jennifer Stone, RS Manager of Regional Preferred Accounts, co-chaired the event with Renee Bales from KPost, a JM Peak Advantage® Summit Contractor. Melissa Walker, RS Senior Marketing Manager, led speed-mentoring sessions that offered attendees the chance to speak with women leaders in the industry, including JM’s own Jennifer Ford-Smith, RS Director of Marketing and Product Management. Also on stage from JM was Denver Technical Representative Anna Swiontoniowski (Denver Chapter NWiR Vice Chair) and Wisconsin Technical Representative, Ellie Deans highlighted various PPE from fall protection to inclement weather preparation when doing a roof inspection. All NWiR Day attendees received a co-branded JM and NWiR tote bag.
