Jacksonville Team Member Takes the Lead in Hand Safety Awareness

Carlos Hills, a team member at the Jacksonville plant, took the initiative and prepared a hand safety awareness training presentation during the Jacksonville safety stand down.

Hills told us that his motivation for creating the presentation was that he felt it was important to bring light to the issue. “Safety is important. The best way to protect the well-being of employees is to keep them informed. Awareness saves lives,” said Hills.

Safety is very important to JM. Protection is one of the core values, and that includes keeping employees safe.

“If you think your job is tough now, try doing it without your hands,” stated Hills. JM wants all employees to focus on safety, not only at work, but also at home. Hills also mentioned, “I care about my JM family and want everyone to be safe. One incident can change your life forever.”
