New Sign Gives Johns Manville Name a Prominent Presence in Denver Skyline

Johns Manville (JM), a global building products manufacturer and a Berkshire Hathaway company, announced today a new Johns Manville sign was installed over the weekend on the company’s world headquarters at 717 17th St.

The JM logo and 4-foot letters that spell out Johns Manville are at the highest point of the building on the side that faces 17th Street. The Johns Manville name is now clearly visible during the day and at night from locations in downtown, along Interstate 25 and from other major roads south of downtown.

“JM has called Colorado home since 1972 and is proud to have our world headquarters in downtown Denver,” said Mary Rhinehart, President and CEO. “That’s why we are excited to give Johns Manville a prominent presence in Denver’s skyline. The sign represents JM’s longstanding commitment to its employees, customers and community.”

About 300 people work at JM’s world headquarters, which occupies five of the 29 floors in the building. The office tower was built in 1978, and at 404 feet tall is Denver’s 16th tallest building. Another 400 people work at the Johns Manville Technical Center in Littleton.
