Traveling BURSI – Texas

The Better Understanding of Roofing Systems Institute (BURSI) was launched in 1972 to provide further education to the design community around commercial roofing. These education programs are certified by the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and the International Institute of Building Enclosure Consultants (IIBEC). In 2022, BURSI celebrated 50 years of in-class room and virtual training. In 2023, BURSI hit the road and has now visited Florida, Georgia, California, and Texas.
At the end of August, BURSI traveled to Texas providing an educational day in both Hillsboro and Houston for consultants, specifiers, architects, and owners. The Hillsboro program included a behind the scenes tour of the newest JM ISO manufacturing process.
BURSI continues to expand education and provide opportunities for participants from across the design community. Feedback from these events included “I walked away with quite a bit of new valuable information,” and “I highly recommend for anyone relatively new to the roofing industry and I can see how subsequent levels will build upon each other. I'm so glad I was able to attend, and I look forward to attending the other classes.”
