A group of Johns Manville employees in Hazleton, Pennsylvania were invited to take part in a Career Exploration Day at a local high school. More than 50 businesses participated in the event, which gave students the opportunity to explore careers they might pursue upon graduation.
John Grier, Dustin Arner, Bruce Brown, Johnathan Wenner, Gely Collado and Gene Mancini helped answer students’ questions and provided insight on what it is like to work at Johns Manville. It was an opportunity for students to get a glimpse into the real world outside the classroom and to help guide them in their upcoming employment decisions.
“The students were very intrigued at the many positions JM has to offer,” said Human Resources representative John Grier. “Several students felt that JM could be a place of employment for them. It was an eye-opener to see how many great jobs are so close to home.”
