The Title 24 building code in California was put into place to regulate and standardize energy control, consumption, conservation, and efficiency in California’s buildings. Every year, the code has become progressively more stringent as the state works toward aggressive energy conservation goals, including net-zero buildings and photovoltaic solar on all new builds.
