Giving Back to the Community

Here at Johns Manville our four core values are: People, Passion, Perform, and Protect. These values go beyond the company itself and is instilled into each of our employees. We consistently strive for better and safer ways to do business and day-to-day activities. We give back to our community in more ways than what most of us can keep track of. Here are a few ways that we joined our communities in June.

Colorado Bike to Work Day

Bike to Work Day is held every year around the world. Companies participate and show support by sponsoring fun events and hosting stations. The event brings a sense of community and supports a healthy alternative communute. Our Green Team sponsored a breakfast stop located at the Chick-fil-A location next to a trail near our JM Technical Center.

Bike MS Colorado 2019

Every year an increasing number of people are diagnosed with MS. It is an unpredictable, often disabling, disease of the central nervous system. The symptoms can range from numbness, tingling, blindness, and even paralysis. It’s unpredictability makes this disease a tough one to treat, but research is moving closer to a world free of MS.

JM has been participating as a core sponsor of the MS 150 bike ride for the last several years and continues to support the efforts to raise money against MS. Many of us know someone who suffers from MS and ride in honor of those people. This year we had 101 riders on our team consisting of employees, customers, suppliers, family and friends. Together we raised over $80,000!
