Announcing SeparatoR® CGF

Johns Manville is proud to announce SeparatoR CGF as the newest addition to the JM polyiso cover board lineup.  This ½” thick cover board serves as a versatile solution for re-cover applications and offers performance and value. Compatible with most membrane-application methods, the 25 psi compressive strength closed-cell foam core and inorganic coated glass facers offer dimensional stability, moisture resistance and high R-value (2.9) and will not promote mold or mildew growth.  With a nominal weight of 0.28 lbs/ft2, SeparatoR CGF is an excellent choice where structural limitations may constrain additional loading.  For adhered-membrane applications, SeparatoR CGF achieves FM 1-90 approval with as few as 8 fasteners per 4’x8' board.

Installation and Specification:

Installation of SeparatoR CGF follows the same guidelines as polyisocyanurate insulations, with joints butted tightly together and offset a minimum of 6”. This product is to be installed with the printed side “This side down” facing the deck.  Boards are secured using appropriate fasteners and plates or adhered using low rise urethane foam adhesive in ribbons.  SeparatoR CGF is compatible with all single ply application methods as well as cold applied and self-adhered modified bitumen membrane applications.  SeparatoR CGF is eligible to be included in the JM Peak Advantage® Guarantee.
