Johns Manville (JM), a global building products manufacturer and a Berkshire Hathaway company, will share energy performance expertise and insights at the High Performance Building Zone (HPBZ) at the NAHB International Builders’ Show® (IBS) in Orlando. Through a live demonstration and product showcase in a mock home structure, HPBZ is helping builders tackle the pressures of addressing energy performance goals and environmental preferences of customers through a broad range of products and building science insights.
The High Performance Building Zone (Booth W6157) showcases best practices for improving efficiency in all areas of the home – from basements to walls to the roof. Each day, the HPBZ Demonstration Stage will offer a series of 30-minute presentations showcasing various building components and the latest methods, tips and tricks used in high-performance building technique. Throughout the week, HPBZ visitors will get a complete look at how key components can add up to a high performance home.
On Tuesday, Jan. 10 at 2 p.m., JM Building Scientist JR Babineau and Field Technical Leader Tom Calzavara will highlight insulation’s increasingly important role in building efficiency during the “High Performance Insulation Solutions… Done Right” presentation. Join Babineau and Calzavara to learn key insights into meeting and exceeding evolving energy codes and how a diversified selection of insulation and air-sealing products can help meet home buyer needs and project budgets.
